Although Gex was not a 3DO exclusive, it certainly had a good following on the platform. This 1994 release was published by Crystal Dynamics and was suitable for gamers of really any age. It was a simple, side scrolling platform game that played from the third person perspective.
The game Gex has a funky theme that revolves around televisions. You will enter your television to attempt to defeat the evil Rez. To do this, you will have to collect very valuable little pieces of equipment: television remote controls. You will use the remotes to open up various worlds within your television set. Oh yeah…one more random tidbit…you are a gecko…the very animal everyone expects to find inside a television set.
You have very normal platforming skills…jump, run and shoot…which is firing at close range. You additionally have the ability to use your suction cup feet for climbing into and out of precarious situations.
