Game Review (written by Theblackyak) Added on: 13 Oct 2011
Nothing quite says “popular cross over video game” like the Resident Evil series, which became popular on the big screen, in the toy stores, on the computer and really all over. This third installment of the gaming giant franchise, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, was released for play on the Sega Dreamcast at the turn of the century. It features the same puzzle solving and action game play in a survival horror motif as the other games in the series. You just can’t escape the undead.
This installment of the series again takes place in Raccoon City, which overrun with the undead courtesy of the hateful T-virus. Jill Valentine will be the protagonist of this game and the player will have to maneuver her around and eventually out of the city to safety. There are three Umbrella mercenaries running about and they may help or hinder Jill depending on the circumstances.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis adds some whistles and bells and eye candy, but for the most part it is the same general concept as those games that came before it. If you are fan of the series—or of zombies in general—you will enjoy the suspense and tense moments this game brings to your screen. It is a solid play and even features eight costumes for Jill…just one way to spice up the program.
