PlayStationís version of Medal of Honor arrived on the scene in the late nineties and became a fan favorite as a historically correct, battle exact first person shooter. It also had themes of spying or espionage. This action game would become the pioneer in a long line of World War II shooters that were originally created by Steven Spielberg.
Medal of Honor sees the player as Lt. Colonel Patterson who is charged with completing various tasks as part of the OSS. The missions are numerous and various, ranging from securing small villages in France to infiltrating territory and destroying key pieces of enemy equipment or artillery, such as a German rail gun.
There is a wide array of WWII style weapons that are well rendered and accurate in their capabilities. For those who wish to play with a friend, Medal of Honor offers split screen, multi player capabilities.
