Game Review (written by Theblackyak) Added on: 16 Feb 2012
A little bit sexy and a little bit mysterious, Desire is a Hentai type of adventure game that was introduced to the Sega Saturn in the mid to late nineties. It features a detective theme, laden with lust and innuendo that is appropriate for the adult gamer. The graphics are cute anime or manga types. Although available for other formats (such as Windows and the PlayStation 2) Desire did well here on the Saturn. It plays from both the first and third persons, depending on the action sequence.
The game takes place in a research facility on a remote island. The fact that the facility is unofficially linked to the military makes it a tantalizing story for journalist Albert Macdugul, who goes to investigate. While at the facility a young girl washes up on the shore of the island and she has amnesia. Incidentally, the technical manager of the facility is starting to notice some strange goings on. Everything happens at once. However, you will play through four chapters of the game as four different characters. The same story will be told four times from four different points of view and each will feature unique challenges. The sex scenes even offer different positions.
Desire is played with a standard text interface that allows you to select actions when reacting with other players.
